PURPLE MOOSE
Bragdy Mws Piws / Purple Moose Brewery is based in the historic harbour town of Porthmadog, nestled in the beautiful foothills of Snowdonia in North Wales. Their beers are brewed with passion and have won over 80 major awards, including Gold in category in the CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain, and Silver Overall in the CAMRA Champion Winter Beer of Britain.
The idea for Purple Moose Brewery was planted in 1995 when Lawrence Washington began home brewing. After several years of training, planning and market research, he opened a commercial brewery in 2005 in Porthmadoc on the Llyn Peninsula. Initially capable of producing 16000 pints a week, the brewery now produces over 57000 pint of its range of ales a week.
