PINOT GRIS/PINOT GRIGIO
Pinot Gris, or Pinot Grigio, is a mutant of the Pinot Noir grape. It takes its name from its grey/blue colour and the wines can be any colour from light pink to deep yellow.
Pinot Gris is popular around the globe, especially in Italy, USA, Germany, Australia nd France. Depending when the grape is harvested, flavours can range from sweeter melon and mango to almond and acidic lemon zest. It has been grown in France since the Middle Ages. It pairs well with white meat and seafood.
