Chateau Tirecul Paulette

‘Paulette’ is all about sunshine. Lemons on ice, rubbing in sun-cream, cocktails at lunch, and trying to eat crisps with wet hands. As you can imagine, it sits somewhere between a bracing white from the Atlantic coast, and all hallowed Provençal rosé… which makes sense really, looking at a map.

Tasting: The colour evokes rose gold, with silver reflections. The nose is fine, fresh, on raspberry, gooseberry and wet chalk. The palate is round, fresh, crunchy, with good tension, with a supple but concentrated material, vinous, even dry if served not too fresh. The finish prolongs the tension by adding a chalky chew, on notes of peppery raspberry that persist for a long time.
