No less than 15 grape varieties have been selected and blended for this Côtes du Rhône! Composition: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Brun argenté, Caladoc, Carignan, Cinsault, Counoise, Couston, Marselan, Muscardin, Piquepoul noir, Terret noir, Clairette rose, Grenache gris.
The grapes were harvested when ripe, before being destemmed. A pre-fermentation cold maceration followed by vatting at a controlled temperature in order to express the full aromatic potential of the berries. The wine was then aged for 10 months in vats to preserve all the fruitiness of the aromas. The color is deep, intense garnet red. The first aromas that come through are dark fruit aromas, such as cherry, black currant and plum, followed by more complex notes of violets and licorice. On the palate, the tannins are present but well balanced by the freshness of the wine.
